today was actually pretty fun so far, despite the fact that it was pretty sleep deprived initially, but some nummy food and some coffee kinda dwindled thost feelings away. took keenan up to apply for a job with allied-barton security. he just has to wait for the background check to come back before he can proceed further. i don't see why there should be any hitches for him. after that, we stopped by uwajimaya's and pink godzilla on the way back. pink godzilla is a cool ass store. not huge, but interesting, definitely specializing more in the import game market, but that lends an atmosphere to the shop that is hard to place. i must say i am very impressed with the place, and layed down $10 to secure a NEX console. very cool thing: the patent for the NES and Famicom ran out, so you can buy NEW NES, and famicom decks, and they are compact (smaller than the original top loaders), and use AV imput cables. the NEX plays both Famicom, and NES cartidges...so that'll be fun to start collecting. I am also interested in getting a swap disc for the 'Cube so i can obtain imports for it (apparently from what i have been told there are a lot of good rpg games that haven't some stateside, and i DO want to improve my collection for the 'Cube). got some yummy food at 'waji's, and some coffee, and now feeling pretty OK about the day, as i got to check out a shop i've been wanting to for a while, and found it much to my liking. they even sell shirts with their logo on it, and you can get a discount if you wear it to the shop. sure, it's a gimmick to make more money, but almost every game shop i have ever seen has one, and at least this would be funny, and supporting a smaller business.
